Phenicia Conseil for a Group multi-national that is developing large construction projects in Africa related to Housing, Social Equipment’s and Infrastructures and that is developing important new projects in Senegal, is looking for a:

Site Civil Engineer

Infrastructures

Local Contract, Senegal

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Project Manager, We are looking for a well-organized site engineer with strong leadership, able to work alongside various professionals with excellent project management skills, effective leadership, technical competence, creativity, and communication. And most important, the ability to complex problem-solve.

Main Duties:

• Right hand to the Project Manager;
• Supervise Construction Work;
• Assist with site investigations;
• Interpret Drawing;
• Supervise The Curing Process;
• Draw up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crewmembers and clients;
• Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, co-workers and clients;
• Ensure projects meeting legal requirements and health and safety standards;
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required;
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies;
• Prepare cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available;
• Gather data; compile reports and deliver presentations to Manager;
• Monitor progress and compile reports in project status;

Carry out any other duties commensurate with this post as directed by the Managers;

Qualifications/Experience:

• University degree in engineering, construction, or similar;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of proven working experience in civil engineering on construction Projects;
• Project management and supervision skills;
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Grant, Civil 3D or similar;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent motivational and people skills;

Languages: English, French and local language;
