General Manager (M/W) Industrial Sector

Abidjan, Ivory Coast

Position summary:

The General Manager Ivory Coast is responsible for overseeing and managing the full operational local plant’s production, for sales & marketing development, financial, HR and legal affairs and supported by his local team.

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Develop, propose and execute the country strategic plan, being fully responsible for the results by respecting local regulations and corporate policies
• Review market development and analysis customers’ needs with a short-, medium- and long-term view
• Develop the sales of all offered products / services and especially those produced in his/her unit(s) with a special attention given to sales volume and to commercial margin
• Anticipate risks, propose and implement mitigation measures
• Develop human resources to ensure development for their own benefit and benefit of the company, build a favorable climate for efficient work and for making the subsidiary, as a preferred employer on the local labour market.
• Support the Group management culture and corporate values: making them alive by leading by example
• Support country and local sustainable business development by lobbying and public affairs actions in coordination with the company’s policy

Skills and Education:

• Diploma in Engineering/Process Engineering/ Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing preferred, other degrees also possible, MBA preferred
• At least + 10 years of experience in the Industrial sector, at least 5 in Executive roles with a Business Development and sales background
• Proven experience in working in Africa/West Africa /Ivory Coast and within structured International Groups
• English and French as a Must! Other languages advantage
