Phénicia Conseil for a subsidiary of a multi-national group, designing and implementing sustainable water and wastewater solutions in the residential, agricultural, and industrial sectors in several countries in Africa, is looking for a:

We are looking for an experimented accountant who will help to build the finance department for a new office located in Amsterdam from scratch.

Job description:

–         Controlling and filing of vendor invoices for our group companies

–         independently booking of invoices for our company in Netherlands, considering local tax laws.

–         Preparing VAT declarations

–         Support on preparing financial statements and audit reports

–         Validate the monthly credit card statements and the counterpart for cost controlling

–         Reconciliation of the sub-ledgers (e.g. cash, banks, credit cards, vendors)

–         Support ongoing automation projects

–         Work hand in hand with the local finance team

–         General administrative work

Skills and Experiences:

–        Further education in finance and accounting

–         At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting

–         Experience in Netherlands VAT law as well as experience with the Netherlands corporate tax law

–         Dutch and English – mother tongue level

–         You think outside the box

–         you have a high degree of personal responsibility
